The ever popular early season cycling Meli-biking, organized by the Groupe Plein Air Terrebonne, is attached to Sunday, June 14, with the point of departure and arrival of the Blessed Sacrament Park Terrebonne.
Last year, some 600 cyclists participated in the event which allows to wander the streets of Terrebonne, safely, as part of a festive and friendly event, totally free.
No pre-registration required, those interested need only go from 8 am June 14 at Blessed Sacrament Park (corner of boulevard of Lords); the first 300 participants will receive a shirt in the colors of the event, and the official start is scheduled at 9am.
Hiking 23 kilometers provides a stop at the height of Angora Park, where a snack and a bottle of water will be distributed free to participants.
When returning to Saint -Sacrement park, a large family barbecue awaits cyclists, with music, animation, and drawing prizes.
Bits & Bike Tour has as honorary chairs this year Philip and Simon Crégheur, IGA supermarket owners in Terrebonne.
The organizers emphasize that the Tour has taken in popularity last year when we brought the event on the main streets of the city, a route popular with families and safe explains Pierre-Luc Brisson, director general of Groupe Plein Air Terrebonne.
